These charge pumps are improved versions of the 1044 and 7660 and are drop in replacements. These shouldn't add oscillation to the circuit, but connecting Pin1 to V+ (Pin 8) will raise the frequency way out of the audio range. DIP8 package, mfg: Linear Tech. These can handle up to 15v input
