LEAKAGE NOTICE: Some of these devices test on the leakier side - some may have leakage characteristics that measure above 200 µA. They may be less suitable for circuits that are sensitive to high leakage - or more suitable for circuits that require high leakage.
NOS. Most of these fall into the Rangemaster-First Stage Fuzz Face buckets between 40 and 110. All measurements by the "Bare Bones" method: Normal room temp, 9 Volts C-E, 9 microamps into the base.
Sometimes, we offer individual transistors measured for Hfe (Gain) and Leakage ranges. In most cases we use the Peak DCA but in some instances we use our proprietary Small Bear transistor matching gear and process. Germanium transistors are notorious for inconsistent performance over time, and we do the best we can to measure and record the specs, although our measurements (like any one else's measurements) are subject to the vagaries of human involvement, older technologies and some uncertainty. In plain english- if you purchase an individually measured transistor, it is not returnable nor refundable. We have measured enough transistors over time to be confident in our methods, and to be reasonably sure we will send you what you order.
